We use this "Jewelry" scale for inventory counting of small items such as snaps, beads, earring backs - basically anything tiny that would be almost impossible to count manually.

 

Our recommendation is to take ten to twenty pieces, weigh them, record that weight, and then weigh more in bulk and do the math.

Example: If you weight 40 seed beads and it weighs one gram, then you know 400 seed beeds will be about ten grams, and 4000 seed beads will be about 100 grams.

 

Your numbers may not be 100% accurate to the cent, but they will be within a reasonable limit. Remember - consistency is key with inventory. Once you use one method to count, you must stick with that method to have accurate records.
